Product Care
Each piece is crafted to be worn, cherished, and passed on.
Natural wear over time is part of the piece’s story and beauty.
Gold Jewelry
Gold is a noble metal and naturally resistant to corrosion and oxidation. However, gold can still be susceptible to wear and tear over time.
- Clean with mild soap & warm water
- Dry with a soft cloth
- Avoid chemicals, perfumes & lotions
- Remove before swimming or exercise
- Store separately to prevent scratches
Silver Jewelry
Silver is a beautiful and versatile choice for jewelry and can easily become tarnished over time. The best way to prevent tarnish is to simply wear it! The natural oils in your skin will keep the jewelry shiny and clean. However, it’s easy to polish your silver when needed. You can purchase inexpensive silver polish cloths, or use any lint-free microfiber cloths. Polish using long back and forth motions, not circular, which can magnify any tiny scratches. Use a cotton swab for the small detailed places.
- Polish with a soft silver cloth
- Store in an airtight pouch
- Avoid water & humidity
- Tarnish is natural and reversible
Ancient Coin Jewelry
Our ancient coin jewelry is made from coins from the Roman period. Each coin is specifically selected for its meaning, history, and unique patina. In order to preserve these one-of-a-kind artifacts avoid touching the coin directly.
- Do not polish or clean with liquids
- Wipe gently with a dry cloth
- Avoid moisture & impact
- Patina is part of the coin’s history
Roman Glass Jewelry
Roman glass jewelry continues to react with its environment. Just as water, heat, oil, and other elements affected the glass in the past, they can continue to do so in the present.
Avoid touching the Roman glass with your fingers as much as possible.
- Naturally delicate & ancient
- Keep dry; avoid water & humidity
- Do not clean with liquids
- Store padded & away from hard items
Jewelry with Diamonds & Gemstones
While some gemstones are quite hard and durable, others are soft and require sensitive care. It’s important to ascertain the type of stone you have and any special requirements it may need.
Diamonds measure a 10 on the Mohs scale of hardness, making them the hardest naturally occurring substance on Earth. They can therefore handle more strenuous cleaning, although it is rarely necessary.
Sensitive gems include pearls and opals, among others. These softer stones should be cleaned using a very soft brush and stored in dry, dark places. Too much direct sunlight can eventually damage or darken the gem.
- Clean gently with mild soap
- Use a soft brush around settings
- Avoid ultrasonic cleaners
- Remove before physical activity
Judaica Care
- Handle with clean, dry hands
- Keep away from moisture
- Polish gently when needed
- Store in a cool, dry place
Storing Judaica
- Wrap items individually
- Use padded boxes
- Avoid stacking metal pieces
- Store in low humidity
Cleaning Menorahs
- Let wax cool completely
- Remove wax gently by hand
- Polish with a soft cloth only
- Dry fully before storing
