Jewish Birthday
A Jewish birthday can be marked by the secular date, the Hebrew date, or both. Our collection includes Hebrew name necklaces, pendants engraved with the Hebrew date of birth, and pieces commemorating milestones (Bar and Bat Mitzvah, the 18th year for chai, and the 70th, 80th, and 90th years).

Handcrafted Jewish Birthday Gifts & Jewelry
The Jewish calendar is lunar, so the Hebrew date of birth shifts against the secular date each year. Many traditional Jewish families mark the Hebrew birthday (using the Jewish calendar) rather than or in addition to the secular birthday. This creates a small but meaningful sub-category of Jewish gifting: pieces commissioned to mark a specific Hebrew date of birth or a meaningful Jewish-calendar milestone.
Our Jewish birthday collection is built around three main occasions. The first is the everyday Jewish birthday: pendants engraved with the Hebrew date (e.g., "the fifteenth of Iyar" or "the third of Tishrei"), Hebrew name necklaces that carry both name and date, and personal Hamsa or Chai pendants engraved on the reverse with the Hebrew year. The second is the milestone birthday: the twelfth (Bat Mitzvah) and thirteenth (Bar Mitzvah) are handled in detail in their own collections, but the eighteenth birthday (corresponding to the gematria value of chai, eighteen) is also marked, often with a Chai pendant or ring engraved with the Hebrew date.
The third group is the later milestones. The seventieth birthday (often celebrated as a major milestone, sometimes called a "second Bar Mitzvah" when it includes another Torah reading) is marked with substantial personal pieces: a Hebrew-inscribed signet ring for men, a personalized Hamsa or Magen David pendant for women. The eightieth and ninetieth birthdays follow similar conventions. Every piece is made to order in our Jerusalem workshop with appropriate Hebrew engraving (Hebrew name, Hebrew date, sometimes a meaningful verse) and ships worldwide in gift-ready packaging.
