Product Description
This 18k Gold and Diamonds Authentic Bar Kochba Coin Pendant is a statement in itself. The frame of the coin has been designed with a unique twisted top and made out of solid 18k gold. The pave set diamonds goes higher on one side onto the bail of the pendant.
This Bar Kochba Coin dates back to 132-135 CE when the residence of ancient Judea revolted against the Great Roman Empire. Despite the failed revolt, we see from the inscription on the coin that they were hopeful and showed valour. The words on the back of the coin, written in ancient Hebrew, read “For the freedom of Jerusalem”. The vine leaf represents the seven species that the holy land of Israel is well known for. On the front of the coin spells out Simon (Simon Bar Kochba) with a palm tree, this is also a known species of Jerusalem.
This coin, as with all our other coins from the Ancient Coin collection, is handpicked. There is a beautiful clarity to this coin that makes the words and images really stand out.
Please note that because the sizes of the coins vary slightly and the measurements are approximate.
A certificate of authenticity is available.
